Bobby C flies the AT-6 Texan

For Christmas in 2006, Barbara gave Bob the most awesome present, a ride in the AT-6 Texan. This is a WWII trainer which my father learned to fly in back in Texas in 1942, when he joined the Army Air Corps. He went on to fly the B-25 Mitchell bomber in the Pacific theater.

Kevin Keegan brought his two American Warbirds to Buchanan Field in Concord in April, 2007.
From cameras on the tail, one wingtip and the cockpit, I received a great video tape of this 30 minute flight, complete with audio of my conversation with Kevin. I will post video clips soon. We flew out around the back of Mt. Diablo, where Kevin proceeded to do some aerobatics. Then he talked me through the maneuvers. I did three barrel rolls and three loops. It was a most amazing experience, made more special because I was flying like my father.
